I Miss Sleep

During a rare night out with some friends (all childless), we were talking about the ornery things my boys have done recently.  One of my friends asked if there was anything I would have done before having kids if I could go back (I’m a young mother). Of course, my response was “SLEEP”.   The girls started laughing and said my face lit up like the sun.

I’ve always had trouble falling asleep before 3 am.  Before kids, I could adjust my schedule so that I didn’t have to wake up at “normal” hours. Since I had my oldest son, I’ve learned children have a built-in alarm that lets them know when you couldn’t sleep. It causes them to wake up hours before normal (or as soon as you actually fall asleep), leaving you with sandpaper eyes all day.  Of course, those days nap-time is a joke and around the time the kids go to sleep, you finally wake up.

Recently, I heard about a product called Nightfood. It is supposed to help me fall asleep, sleep well, and stop with my late-night snacking (which is when I consume 1/4 of my daily caloric intake – yikes).  After going through the website, I was pretty excited to see the ingredient list is available & contains many organic items (I prefer organic whenever possible). It has pretty good reviews online, so I am definitely going to try this out.  It is $11.99/box, so it is comparable to many weight loss systems and serves dual-purpose by helping me lose weight (by skipping my nighttime snacks) and helping me sleep.  Finally sleeping like a “normal” person will help my life in so many ways.

If you are interested in trying Nightfood, they are offering a risk free sample box (basically, you get free S&H and hassle-free refund if you do not like it) right now. You will also get a $5 coupon toward  your next box.
